The trip begins with a scenic drive to Kerung crossing Nepalese border. Start the epic journey on newly built highway to the holy Lake Mansarovar and Mt. Depart on a spirtual adventure of a lifetime to Nepal and Tibet. Plan your flights to arrive in the evening of day 2-July 30th.
Day 2KatmanduNamaste- Welcome to Katmandu,Nepal
Namaste and welcome to Nepal. On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted our staff and will escort you to the hotel. For those arriving prior to 9PM, you will meet with Sandesh Singh, our Adventure Tour Manager and a Sherpa guide will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, Kathmandu, Trek/Camping and other related information that you might require while on our journey. For those arriving after 9PM, your orientation will be in the morning of day 3.
Day 3KatmanduKatmandu,Nepal
Relax this morning. Mid-morning you will meet with Sandesh Singh, our Adventure Tour Manager and a Sherpa guide will give you a brief orientation of the program, trek and other related information that you might require while on our journey. After lunch, we will visit the Pashupatinath temple. We will also visit an NGO and learn about their services for the society. Today is the day we will obtain the Tibet Visa (prepaid ). Also visit a NGO and learn about their services for the society.

Day 4KerungKathmandu / Kerung
Leave Kathmandu at about 7AM and drive to Kerung (at Nepal-Tibet border-Approx. 6 hour drive), our drive passes through scenic countryside. We will stop on the way for a local lunch and will continue our journey to the small settlement at Kerung, which is a historic frontier with ruins of fort during Nepal-Tibet war time. After going through immigration formalities (Nepal part) we cross border and enter Tibet. After completing the immigration and custom formalities, a short drive takes us to hotel on Tibetan side for our overnight stop.

Today, we will have a rest day to acclimatize well before heading to our next destination. After taking a good rest and small hikes nearby, our body starts adapting with the altitude which will help us to continue higher altitude.

Day 6SagaKerung to Saga
After a rest day we start our spiritual adventure by driving from Kerung to Saga with views of views of Mt. Shishapnagma (8027m), Langtang and other mountains. The drive passes through famous Paigutso Lake, we will stop a brief to take photographs and take few rest before heading towards Saga which is at approx. 4,440 meter. Drive is approximatly 8 hours.

Drive continues on the wild windswept terrain passing through few villages and farm fields, and then crossing high numerous passes with brief stop en-route to stretch our legs. We then cross Yarlung Tsagpo (Named as Bhramaputra River in India) to reach Saga for our overnight stop of today.

Day 7Lake MansarovarMansarovar via Paryang
After breakfast, get ready for the next drive (7-8 hours) to Mansarovar which is at 4,550 meter height. The road descends on the large valley, with great views of the snow capped peaks in the distance on the Nepal border side. We will also drive through some sandy portion.

The drive continues on this flat Tibetan plateau, then reaching to the high pass of Mayum-la 5,150m, after the downhill drive coming to Mayum Tsho (lake), the view of the lake will be constant for few hours, then as the drive gets further west coming to Lake Mansarover for overnight.

Day 9TarbocheKora Begins-Tarboche via Darchen
Morning starts with a semi Parikrama of Mansarovar in vehicle continue driving to Darchen, a small settlement with few guesthouses. We will spend time in meditation befor begining the spiritual trek- the Kora (circumambulation).

From here, a short drive leads to the starting point of our Kora at Tarboche, a holy place where Saga Dawa festival (changing of the pole and prayer flags) is being held every year. Our walk from here continues across the plain to Shershong, an hour past Shersong is a bridge leading to Chhuku Gompa high on the hill above, the west bank trail leads across the scree slopes to our overnight camp just by the streams on the meadow, before Damding Donkhang that offers a good view of the west face of Mt. Kailash. Mt.Kailash (6,714m.), Asia's most sacred mountain, is said to be at the heart of the ancient Shangshung kingdom, the supposed land of origin of the pre-Buddhist Bonpos. Mount Kailash is their soul-mountain. This is the very place where the sect's legendary founder, Tonpa Shenrab descended from heaven to earth. While our journey continued another 2-3 hours on the long winding path passing many?interesting Tibetans pilgrimage from all walks of life from all parts of Tibet. Eventually, after a good walk we reach at our destination Dhirapuk for the overnight stay. Dhirapuk is a temporary settlement for the pilgrimage with a small monastery of poet, saint Milerepa. On the opposite side of the monastery great views of North Face of Mt. Kailash can be seen.

Day 10La passKora-Trek to Zutulphuk via Droma-La pass
Today will be the longest hour of walking (the day to test human endurance and physical stamina). Our parikrama / kora continues with a steep climb of 30 minutes with great views of North East Face of Mt. Kailash after reaching the ridge the path leads to a gradual walk for a while till we come to the last final climb towards Dromo-la at the highest point of this journey. The trail today leads up past piles of clothing, the local Tibetan pilgrims leave an article of clothing or some of their possessions leaving their past life behind them, the kora continues past thousands of small rock cairns beyond to a stone hut and across a boulder field and up to the high pass of Dromo- la at approx.5,470m /18,525ft. A big boulder represents the goddess Dolma or Dromo (Tara) is festooned with prayer flags. This spot is the physical and spiritual high point of the pilgrimage kora. The track from here descends to the plain below, a few hours walk brings us to the Lamchu Valley a vast green valley and continue further to Zutul-Puk for overnight stay.

Day 11MansarovarComplete Kora- Parikrama-Mansarovar
Our last day of this holy walk leads to the end of this valley, where our transport will be waiting. We retrace our journey back to Mansarovar. We collect holy water from the Mansarovar to take back home.

Day 13Drive to Shegar or New TingriDrive to Shegar - or New Tingri
The drive continues with a commanding view of snow capped peaks from Shisapangma to Langtang. We are heading to another epic adventure to Mount Everest Base Camp - the base of world's highest peak. Mount Everest lies at the border between Nepal and Tibet and it can be climbed from both side, north and south. The ride joins the main Lhasa to Kathmandu highway to reach Shegar also known as New Tingri for overnight stop.

Day 14Rongbuk Monastery and Everest Base CampRongbuk Monastery and Everest Base Camp
After breakfast we depart for Everest Base Camp. The drive takes almost four hours depending upon the road condition. The trails are quite wide as the villager's cart track passes through this road. Journey continues on around this mystical valley the path meanders towards gradual uphill on the wide pasture field as the valley opens. We climb the top of Pangla Pass from where the views are magnificent. After taking a break to take photographs and relax, we start descend to Rongbuk Monastery and the abode of Mother Goddess. Getting past the creek gully, then we follow the road into a series of moraine hills for another hour or less arriving at Rongbuk Monastery with superb full views of the massive North Face of Mount Everest that dominates the entire head of this valley. Overnight stop is made near the Monastery area with time to visit this ancient monastery. Rongbuk Gompa and its many hermitage retreats were introduced to the world in the 1920's through the account of the 1st British expedition's teams of George and Irving Mallaory and from the well-known novel Lost Horizon by James Hilton. Afternoon visit the Everest Base Camp which is about two hours trek or take a local transportation, horse cart or a motorbike taxi. Overnight in Guest House/Lodge (Meal: B, L, D)

Early breakfast and start, as we have to cover a long distance all the way to Nepal-Tibet Border at Kerung for overnight. We retrace the journey back to Saga and continue driving with superb views of mountains to Kerung.

After early breakfast, we fulfill the border formalities at both Tibet and Nepal side of the custom and immigration before heading back to Kathmandu completing this holy Yatra with good memories. Arrive Kathmandu by late afternoon. Time for last minute shopping and a lovely dinner together, remembering your spiritual adventure of a lifetime. .
