Up next on my adventure was our trip to Margaret River. As a family who loves fine wine, we loved being able to explore the wineries and enjoy the views.

We chose to tour with A Touch of Glass and Charters and their professionalism and flexibility didn't go unnoticed. They tailored our wine tour in the Margaret River area specifically to us and helped us tour wineries that best fit what we wanted. They allowed us to change wineries and our itineraries whenever it didn't fit our schedule or taste and did it with a smile. Below is attached a copy of our Margaret River Itinerary. We got to experience several areas in this wonderful island including going to the WA Surf Gallery and Busselton Jetty for Sean's birthday.

2.30 – 3.00           Vasse Virgin Olive oil (gourmet condiments and natural skin products)
3.15 – 3.30           Gabriel Chocolate (boutique Chocolatier)
3.45 – 4.15           Juniper Estate Wine tasting (optional) Could visit Canal Rocks instead
4.30 – 5.00           Check in to Accommodation - Prideaus in Margaret River

 
Day 2 – Monday 9th September
10.00am                Pick up from Accommodation- Prideaus in Margaret River
10.15 – 11.00        Leeuwin Estate (stunning grounds, wines and Art Gallery)
11.15 – 12.00        Cape Mentelle (great wines)
12.15 – 12.45        Vasse Felix (founding winery)
12.45 – 2.30          Vasse Felix 3 course Lunch (includes 2 glasses of wine each and tea/coffee)
2.45 – 3.20           Amelia Park Wines (Cellar Door of the year 2017)

Day 3 – Tuesday 10th September
9.00am     Pick up from Prideaus Margaret River after breakfast (suggest Drift Café or Margaret River Bakery)
9.00 – 10.00         Travel to Busselton Jetty
10.00 – 11.00       Explore Busselton Jetty – coffee at “The Goose” café (optional)
11.00 -2.00          Travel back to Perth Airport (comfort stops on way)
2.20pm                Approximate arrival at Perth Airport 

Recently my family and I traveled to Australia and got to experience Sydney, Perth, Rottnest Island and the Margaret River Area. Each day I will be posting about my adventures down under and talking about some of the adventures my family and I got to experience. First up on my list is Sydney and my experiences with the Penguins at SEALIFE Sydney Aquarium. 

First up on my adventure is our visit to the SEALIFE Sydney Aquarium where we got to experience the Penguin Passport. With this passport, we were able to go and see how penguins interact with eachother.

When we went, the Cheeky Gentoo penguins had begun breeding season, so we were able to assist the males by giving them pretty rocks to give to their potential mates. In the wild, a female Cheeky Gentoo Penguin must accept the rock from the male penguin in order to breed. The male penguin will continue to give the females pretty rocks that she takes to her nest. We were unable to walk on the ice with the penguins due to it being breeding season.

We also learned about why the Cheeky Gentoo's penguins feet are bright orange, which is due to their diet of crill in the wild.

Recently we got to experience the new Norwegian Joy Cruise Ship in its Inaugural launch. We did a quick sail over to Mexico where the boat docked overnight. We got unlimited access to all the ship's luxury amenities. The staff onboard were friendly, kind, and helpful every step of the way. We wanted to share our experience with you on this amazing ship in hopes that you too will get to experience the magic of the Norwegian Cruise Line. Some of the activities on board included watching the musical "Footloose" live, experiencing the dining hall which was sectioned off to ensure a more private dining feel. The food was diverse with seafood options and classy chocolate desserts. We are thankful for the Norwegian Cruise Line to let us experience its inaugural sailing!
